Discover unique pieces where craftsmanship, patience, and elegance unite.
Artwork Details:
Three antique napkins, crafted in 1960 on sprout green Panama linen, combining canvas work and counted thread techniques with Orlon threads, have survived to the present day in their original, unused condition.
These collectible pieces were brought together and modernized by Seher Ayral, transforming them into an elegant runner / tablecloth / coffee table cover.
The edges of the napkins were unstitched, and the areas bearing these marks were cleaned and enriched by hand-crocheting with green embroidery thread.
All edges of the cover were hand-crocheted with silk thread, in keeping with the spirit of original lace.
This special design, which unites the handiwork of the past with today's aesthetics, serves as both a decorative collector's item and a multi-purpose product.
