Work Details:
This unique dreamcatcher, shaped with lace and needlework details dating back to the 1900s, was made with two separate wooden frames, 16 cm and 12 cm in diameter. The frames were colored with classic touches by wrapping them with yellow silk satin ribbon.
The 16 cm diameter trap on top was created by repairing a lace with a special motif that was hand-knitted with crochet in the 1950s and placing it in a hoop in an original way according to the motif form. A piece of a surrounding cover embroidered with gold glitter from the 1900s was mounted on this motif.
The 12 cm diameter hoop in the lower section is surrounded by crochet lace from the 1940s; a gold glitter motif from the 1900s is placed in its center. A beaded shuttle lace hand-knitted in the 1920s is placed on the edge of the hoop. A rose-shaped motif hand-made from the same shuttle lace is also located in the lower section.
As a final touch, white antique crochet lace from the 1900s was added to the bottom of the work. The two hoops were combined with silk satin ribbon and completed with bird feathers, turning it into a work of art that carries a soul and has a heightened spiritual energy.
