Work Details:
The 28 cm diameter wooden hoop is covered with yellow mercerized thread by hand crocheting. An elegant flower motif machine-embroidered with floss silk thread and yellow glitter is placed on the 12 cm diameter silk organza base in the center. This motif is surrounded by a border crocheted by hand from floss thread, and pompom pendulums are added to the ends to add volume and rhythm.
The motif is carefully stretched and fixed to the middle part of the hoop with floss cords. A braided cord made of red and green silk satin ribbons is applied to the patterned structure and given liveliness by passing it around the motif.
In addition, a cord made of floss thread and gold glitter was added to the ribbons as an elegant touch. Following all these processes, a vintage shuttle lace in yellow, green and red tones was placed on the edge of the hoop.
A red, hand-crocheted flower motif was placed on the organza area; the lower ends were decorated with silk satin colored ribbons, twisted cords and bird feathers, thus visually and symbolically increasing the energy of the trap.
