Turmeric Traces – Handmade Jewelry Upcycled from Antique Lace

Artwork Details:
This special piece of jewelry is created by combining 4 separate motifs, each 7.5 × 7.5 cm, hand-crocheted. The motifs were selected from old white lace pieces; their antique texture has been preserved and adapted to the present day.
The lace was dyed with natural turmeric dye to a warm and vibrant yellow tone, and then hand-counted embroidery details were added to the motifs with colorful threads.
The artwork was completed and transformed into a piece of jewelry with a 5 cm diameter gold-colored earring detail at its center. It is a unique piece that brings together the elegance of antique with a modern touch.
