Artwork Details:
This unique design features a total of 5 hand-knitted white motifs, each 11 cm in height. The motifs were dyed with natural turmeric; then, color transitions were achieved by softening the color with a soaped tampon cloth technique. This process gave the artwork a natural and timeless patina.
The motifs were joined by hand boiling, and the collar shape was prepared with an intricate cut-out by entirely hand-molding it. The neck part was made adjustable with cordonet details hand-knitted with threads of the same tone.
At the ends of the collar, beaded lace (oya) hand-crocheted in 1964 was used; by combining vintage lace and oya, a unique collectible piece was created. This is an exceptionally special design that carries the intergenerational transfer of traditional handcraftsmanship.
